Shire of Katanning – Quartermaine Oval – Jan 2025

Due to the heavy clay profile the oval became waterlogged during the Winter periods, we installed 2.5kms of Subsurface drainage removing the clay via conveyor belt on our 1012 Masten Broek and replacing with aggregate encased around the drainage pipe and clean topsoil to fill out the trench, we were able to run the subsurface drains into their existing Turkeys nest harvesting the water to be reused watering the oval. This was another Project we worked closely with intercompany businesses to achieve a great outcome for the Shire of Katanning. Sub surface Water management was also the primary project management team for this job, coordinating all facets of the job from the Earthworks to drainage and irrigation right the way through to goal post and cricket wicket installation followed by a full turf maintenance program executed by our team.
